Revolt e-bike, which is also the first AI-based bike in India, will be launched tomorrow. We expect the e-bike to come with an all-digital instrument panel and few segment-first features.
The Revolt electric bike, set to be India’s first AI-enabled motorcycle, will be launched here tomorrow. Also the first e-bike in India, this bike has been developed by Revolt Intellicorp — a mobility venture by Rahul Sharma, co-founder of Micromax Informatics. Sharma recently tweeted a teaser of the bike, giving us a glimpse of its front fascia. The company has mostly remained tight-lipped about the EV, including the official name.
P.S: It may be christened Revolt RV400, but let’s wait for all the details to be made available to us tomorrow.
And before the bike is revealed in the flesh, here’s a complete low down on all we know about and expect from the upcoming Revolt e-bike.
Revolt Electric Bike Design
In terms of design, the Revolt RV400 electric bike looks like a naked streetfighter featuring a hexagonal headlamp cluster with LED DRLs. The bike also gets an upright seating position and alloy wheels for improved aesthetics.
Revolt Electric Bike Features
The e-bike is likely to come equipped with an all-digital instrument panel with all the necessary readouts for information like speed, mileage, and battery range. Given that the bike makes use of artificial intelligence, the instrument cluster could allow users to perform a variety of other functions as well.
Another interesting feature seen on the Revolt electric bike is the option to customize the exhaust note on the bike. Being an electric bike, Revolt will be rather quiet. But the bike will offer an artificial exhaust note, which the riders will be able to adjust according to their preference. From what we know, the RV400 will come with a total of four exhaust notes, including ‘Revolt’ and ‘Roar’.
Revolt Electric Bike Powertrain
The electric motorcycle will come powered by a lithium-ion battery which has passed a raft of tests, including the ones for performance, water-proofing, lifecycle, and nail-penetration. While the power specs offered by this battery pack are yet unknown, we do know that the bike will return an ARAI certified range of 156.8 km on full charge.
Revolt Electric Bike Suspension
From the teasers released so far, we can gauge that Revolt’s e-bike will be riding on telescopic forks and a mono shock. However, the details concerning the wheel travel should be made available to us tomorrow.
Revolt Electric Bike Safety Features
On the braking front, Revolt RV400 e-bike will get disc brakes on either ends and a single-channel ABS. Apart from this, we don’t think it will come with any other electronic interventions to enhance rider safety.
Revolt Electric Bike Price
There has been no hinting at the prices so far, but we think that Revolt RV400 e-bike could be priced under ₹1lakh.
