The wheels are an intriguing mix: 40mm deep tubeless carbon clinchers, with spacious tire beds measuring 23mm across the inside, which Reynolds says better matches the wider tires gravel riders use compared to cyclocross riders. Matched 24 spokes front and rear should help durability and ride comfort in rougher terrain, and weights are 1,620g and 1,550g for 700c and 650b sizes, respectively. The ATR wheels retail for $1,550.
Reynolds also offers two attractive guarantees. First, there’s a lifetime, no-questions-asked warranty, where Reynolds will replace any damaged wheel sold after January 1, 2017 (a few restrictions apply).
Second, as of August 1, Reynolds is also offering a 30-day return policy. Buy any wheel direct from Reynolds or through a dealer and, if you don’t like it, return it within 30 days for a full refund. Abuse disqualifies a return, but if you use the wheels normally and live in the US or Canada, you’re all set.
